Shamalamadingdong

Summary of Civilization:
In our Civilization everybody lives in a city called Navy Point. Everyone lives in the buldings shown below. In the future the air is unsafe to breath outside, so everyone has to stay inside of their building if they want to live. Each building is conected by an underground tunnel. The picture on the left is where you eat, shop, exercise, go to school, and hang out with friends. The picture in the middle is is where everyone sleeps and lives. The one on the far right is where the government takes place.

Government of Civilization:
The government is very much like it is in the United States now. At Shamalamadingdong there are presidents that get voted into office by the people. Every other year there is an election where they vote for their new president. A president can only be president for four terms which is eight years. The president makes all the laws for Shamalamadingdong. There is also another group named the Law Makers that reads the laws and vote to pass or veto it. gavel.jpg

Geography of Civilization:
Shamalamadingdong is in Navy point. Navy point is on Falkland Island which is near South America. There are two different types of land forms: Atlantic Coast and lowlands. There are no hills or mountains, so it was easy to build our cilivization here in Navy point. They chose to build their civization here because the air isn't as polluted as other places in the world. Even though the air is better here, you still can't go outside. It is also away from most civilization so it is a safe place to live.

Climate of Civilization:
Falkland Island is by Antartica it is very cold there in the winter, but in the summer it is warm. Navy Point is a very rainy place so the ground is always very wet and soggy. Even though the people have to stay inside because of the bad air, it is still very important to know the climate and weather so the people know what to prepared for. Also, the weather people need to know because they have to know what force field to put up. If there was a lightning storm, they would put up a force field that would protect them from being struck by lightning.

Art and Architecture:
At Shamalamadingdong their art is made out of glass. They think if they make their art look spectacular people from other civilazions would admire them because they would think they were very wealthy. So, they would try to make their art as best as it could be. Down below is one of their most beautiful pieces of art. It is called the Laxo. It is stained glass that was heated to 1,200 degrees fahrenheit and twisted and twirled to look like the picture shown below. The vase is spattered with paint that makes it look very beautiful especially when yellow, red, or blue flowers are put in it.

They donate money to those people who are less fortunate. They also enjoy making art. They make only glass art which is challenging, and that is why they like it so much. Down below is a picture of their flag which represents their liking for art because it is very colorful.
